The Eilat-Eilot Region can be one of the worlds first completely fossil fuel free energy supplied regions. The abundance of sun exposure, land for solar and wind energy deployment, Human Capital in the fields of R&D as well as building energy saving potential in local startups creates enormous potential for a foci of world solutions.
The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Administration was established in January 2008 to guide and direct regional acivities and resources to achieve that goal. The Israel Energy and Security Consortium become the strategic partners with the E.R.E.A with the goal of bringing Israeli private sector to support its goals and develop plans for Energy Savings and Conservation that would compliment the energy production goals.

The Eilat-Eilot Regional Council in partnership with the Israeli Energy and Security Consortium will demonstrate Building Envelope Saving Technologies and present integrated energy reduction plans using actual buildings on Kibutz Ketura as samples including ROI’s.
